Cancelling, returns and refunds
This is the section worth reading before you buy, so it is written out in full rather than pointed at.
How long you have
What the law gives you Under section 14ג of the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, a distance sale of a product may be cancelled from the day the order is made until 14 days from the day you receive the device, or from the day you receive the written confirmation of the sale - whichever of those two is later.
Because BLINK is a pre-order, that means you can cancel at any point between ordering and dispatch - months, if you order early - and then for a further fourteen days after it arrives.
If you are not in Israel That fourteen days is an Israeli statutory right, and we give it to you as a contractual one wherever you live: order from anywhere and you may cancel from the moment you order until fourteen days after the device reaches you, for a full refund, without giving a reason. Where the law where you live gives you longer, or asks less of you, that law wins and nothing on this page cuts it down. Buyers in the EU and the UK have their own fourteen-day right to withdraw from a distance sale; this promise sits alongside it rather than replacing it.
A longer window for some buyers If you are a person with a disability, a senior citizen, or a new immigrant, the law gives you four months from receiving the device, rather than fourteen days, where the sale involved a conversation between us - including one held online or in writing. We may ask to see a document showing that status. If you are entitled to the longer window, say so and we will apply it.
How to cancel
Send us a message saying you want to cancel. It does not have to be formal, you do not have to give a reason, and it takes effect the moment you send it, not the moment we read it.
That link opens a message already addressed and filled in - add your order reference and send it. You can also just write to support@blink-buddy.com in your own words. We confirm every cancellation in writing within one business day; if no confirmation arrives, assume we did not get it and tell us again.
What it costs you to cancel
Nothing. The law would let us keep a cancellation fee of up to 5% of the price or ₪100, whichever is lower. We do not charge it. You get the whole amount back, including the shipping you paid if the device had not yet been sent.
Sending the device back
If it never shipped, there is nothing to send back - we simply refund you.
If it already arrived and you are cancelling because you changed your mind, send it back to us at your own cost, in a condition that has not been damaged or used up. That is what the law provides, and it is the one cost of cancelling that sits with you.
If you are cancelling because the device is faulty, not what was described, or arrived late, none of that applies: we arrange the collection and we pay for it. You do not post anything at your own expense to return a device that was wrong.
Getting your money back
We refund to the method you paid with, within 14 days of receiving your cancellation - that is the outside limit the law sets, and in practice it is as soon as the provider will process it. If a charge is still pending rather than settled, we cancel the charge instead.
The one thing you cannot cancel
A device we made specially to your own specification, if we ever offer that, is outside the cancellation right - the law excludes goods made to the consumer's own measurements. Nothing on sale today is made that way: both cases are standard products and both can be cancelled.
Warranty and faults
Every BLINK comes with a 12-month warranty from the day it is delivered. If it stops working in that time through no fault of yours, we repair it or replace it, and we pay the postage both ways.
The warranty does not cover physical damage, liquid, taking the case apart, or a device modified past the firmware we shipped on it. Flashing your own firmware is your business and we would rather you did - it just is not something we can then warrant.
Separately from the warranty Israeli law gives you rights against a product that does not match what was described or is not fit for its purpose, under the Sale Law, 5728-1968 and the Consumer Protection Law. Those rights are yours whether or not a warranty is running, and this page does not shorten them.
And if you are not in Israel Most countries give a buyer rights against faulty or misdescribed goods that run for longer than twelve months and cannot be signed away - two years across the European Union, for instance. Where the law where you live gives you more than this warranty does, that law applies. The twelve months above is what we promise on top of your rights, not a ceiling on them.
To claim, write to support@blink-buddy.com and describe what it is doing. One person reads that address and will answer you.
