Every BLINK follows Claude Code and Codex at the same time, each with its own dials and countdowns. The pill at the bottom names the one you are looking at; press it to switch the view to the other.

That is it.

The dials come up. It lives in ~/.blink, starts at login, finds the board itself, and offers new versions on screen. Nothing to sign in to. Check on it:

uninstall in place of status removes it.

You bring

A computer: macOS on Apple silicon or Intel, 64-bit Windows, or 64-bit x86 Linux.
Claude Code, or Codex: Claude Code 2.1.100 or newer, in a terminal or the VS Code and JetBrains extensions. Codex: any current version.
Claude Desktop: Works, but BLINK was not built for it: the dials follow Desktop's own refresh instead of updating live.
A plan: No Claude Code or Codex usage and no plan of either is included with BLINK.

Not supported

The web chats: Not claude.ai, not ChatGPT. BLINK follows Claude Code and Codex on your own machine.

FAQ

Does the price include Claude Code or Codex usage?

No. BLINK is the device and nothing else: it shows what is left of the plan you already pay for. It does not include a plan, resell one, or add usage of its own. When your plan runs out, BLINK says so - it cannot give you more.

Do I need both Claude Code and Codex?

No - either one is enough.

I use Claude Desktop, not Claude Code.

Partly, and only on macOS. BLINK is built for developers working in a terminal, so Claude Desktop is not what it was made for, though it does work.

On Desktop alone the dials follow Desktop's own refresh - about every five minutes while you are using it, up to fifteen when it is idle. The app also never records when a window resets, so there is no countdown and the light stays dark. Install Claude Code as well and the dials update live, with the countdown and the light back.

I only use claude.ai or ChatGPT in a browser.

Then this device is not for you - there would be nothing on the screen. The web chats do not publish what is left of your limits anywhere a device could read it. BLINK needs Claude Code, Codex or Claude Desktop installed on the machine it is plugged into.

What does the light next to the dials mean?

Pulsing green while Claude Code or Codex is working, however long that takes. Amber the moment any open session finishes its answer or asks you something, even while others are still going - that one is your turn. Red if a turn failed: a rate limit, or a request the API refused or dropped. Steady green when nothing is running.

Red is only ever an error Claude Code or Codex actually reported. BLINK never guesses from silence, so a long think never turns the light red.

Does it need Wi‑Fi?

No. There is a radio in it and nothing uses it - no network setup, no setting that would start one. Everything arrives over the cable.

Does it send my data anywhere?

No. BLINK reads figures Claude Code already wrote to your disk. It never sees a credential, signs in to nothing, and sends nothing anywhere.

Can I move it between computers?

Yes. It follows whichever computer it is plugged into. Run the setup once on each.

What does it change on my computer, and can I undo it?

A login item, so readings survive a restart, and one settings file. It lists both before touching either, and leaves your own config running alongside. uninstall reverses all of it, and you can unplug the device any time without uninstalling.

Company editions.

Ordering BLINK for your team? We put your logo on every unit. It appears for a moment each time the device starts, on a background in your colours, as a still or a short animation. Set at the factory, so it is part of the device, not a setting.

You send: Your logo as an SVG or a large transparent PNG - the higher the resolution the better. For an animation, a short brief or a reference; your website is usually enough.
We send: A preview, rendered for the real screen at 320 × 240, before a single unit is built.
Ordering: Per batch, set at the factory. Individual devices have no logo, and one cannot be added later. Write to us for the minimum order and pricing.
